Property Statement

How Property Affects Privacy exists to allow you to change your focus from privacy, where you must “trust” someone else, a person or organization, to use your data in predictable, reliable and legal ways, to a property focused approach, where YOU own your human inherent data, as your legal property.

What’s the difference? Once you OWN your data, you are empowered to decide how, when, and where it’s used, for what purposes, by whom. You can explicitly control the terms and conditions under which any third party, including, gets to use or access your data.

Right now, your data is probably being sold somewhere, without your knowledge or consent. Data about where you have been or are right now (geolocation data), data about the purchases you’ve made, data about the things you’ve searched for, even data about your health, the prescription drugs you may take, and even your employment and credit data. It’s YOUR data, it’s YOUR property, yet it’s being used and sold without your consent, authorization and you’re not receiving anything for it.

In most cases, there are existing laws that govern what data may be purchased or shared, by whom, and for what purpose. In most cases, these laws provide for specific controls and limits that YOU can use. But most of us don’t know these laws, don’t know what our rights may be, or how to change this balance of power over this critical resource, our inherent data.

We exist to change that. We exist to provide you with a completely new way to control your digital self. Your data is YOURS. Just as with other personal property, you should be able to control and manage it. can use existing and new laws to empower you to control your inherent data. By claiming your data as your property, we shift the balance of power from companies you may have never heard of that are profiting from your data, to you.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it only collects information to enable and empower you to claim your own inherent human data as your property. Recognizing your inherent data as property is the first step in reclaiming the power and authority you have over your own information, how it’s used, by whom, when, and for what purposes. Property is a new solution to privacy because the laws around property are well established, while the laws around privacy may not adequately protect what is rightfully yours.

What rights you have over your data

Rights over your own data is the reason we exist. By giving you the ability to declare your inherent data as your property, we empower and enable you to take action. To control who can see or use what information, when, for what purpose, and for how long. Declaring your data as property also allows you to explicitly decide who CANNOT see, access, use or profit from your data in any way. In fact, you can choose to stop the flow of the information you can control altogether, though that action may have unintended consequences.

Where we send your data

We will, with your express authorization, through our mobile application, store your unique Hu-manity ID on our Global Consent Blockchain.

This allows companies and other organizations who wish to use your information to know which user’s data they have permission and authorization to use for research, marketing, or other uses. The only data available on our Global Consent Blockchain for these organizations to use is the status of your consent and authorization.

For example, healthcare companies may find out if they have permission to use your de-identified data for research. In some cases, you may even choose to engage with companies using your protected information, under strict conditions and controls, for which you may receive greater compensation.
